I have been a child and family therapist since 2008, and have been in the mental health field for over 20 years. I believe in a relational approach that considers the individual and their connection with environment, life experiences, personality, needs and strengths. Clients I've worked with have struggled in the areas of damaged attachments, adoption, depression and suicidality, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, life adjustment issues, and trauma [sexual and physical]. I feel passionate about helping people develop hopefulness and connection with themselves and their loved ones, as well as healthy relationship and coping skills that are useful in their lives.
I use a psychodynamic and family systems approach to assessment and intervention of individual and family strengths, needs, and dynamics. Some of the techniques I incorporate into my practice include: CBT [Cognitive Behavioral Therapy], Traditional talk therapy, Mindfulness exercises, and trauma informed clinical intervention, including TF-CBT [Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy]
